A Meme from my cuz ecleptic..

It's pretty long; it's the Year in Review

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? Attended marriage counseling, chose a wedding dress, prep'd for a wedding..
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I have been forgetting to begin resolutions again.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? I had a friend who gave birth, but she wasn't the sort of friend who wanted me in the hospital..
4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes. And I'm still mourning losses from years previous, as well. I keep seeing these perfect presents and then remembering, oh, yeah, hard to deliver them anymore.
5. What countries did you visit? Canada.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? A job I enjoy that lets me go home to Brandon and the cats.
7.What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory? I don't know.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Teaching four more people how to design training materials? Designing the strategy for how to teach software that had not yet been built? Planning a wedding? I think it's actually developing a closer bond to family and loved ones.
9. What was your biggest failure? I'm still working on modifying my health behaviors -- haven't quite incorporated all the habits I need to have: daily exercise, taking all meds regularly, drinking 8 glasses of water a day..
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I have a few lifetime disorders. You learn to live with them.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Brandon's new shoes.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? It's hard to choose: my one cousin is growing into quite the fabulous writer, another graduated with a master's degree; I have role models who are following their dreams; Ciaracat moved home!!!!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Oh, I think we all know this one. Let's move on.
14. Where did most of your money go? Gifts, eating out, rent, paying down debt.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Coming home every weekend.
16. What song will always remind you of 2003? I don't have a song for 2003.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Dunno.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, for the most part. There are a few who are dearly missed.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No - obnoxious people just get bumped off the list of people to keep up with..

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Re-discovering Cole Porter and Bach. But not at the same time.
28. What did you want and get? A travel engagement ring. More turquoise. Presents for Brandon.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Maybe Courtney.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004. I don't always have to change to suit my environment; I can sometimes change the environment to suit who I am.

That is all.
