I've been nudged for an update!

So, here you go:

I'm working on a project that implements SAP, which is a software program that integrates and manages several business processes. This particular client is managing billing, payments, work orders, scheduling, customer service, and some inventory functions. This particular client has chosen to implement a large volume of custom programming, which has extended the development timeframe and testing timeframe.

Development ended last week. Training started two weeks ago. We're in that gallop to the end: train by day, develop by night.

I had the honor of being a bridesmaid (bridesmatron? bridal attendant? bridal stewardess?) in tubin's wedding just before training began. I flew back to work the next day. Since then, I've been getting home late Friday nights, spending about a day with the husband, and flying back on Sundays. This was not my plan for how to spend a February, and my apologies to all of you with whom I haven't spent quality time.

I still owe tubin a Christmas celebration (we ageed to have one this month), but I may have to raincheck one more month.

I still owe many of you a holiday letter. It may be a Memorial Day letter, at the rate I'm going.

This last Friday, late at night, B and I celebrated a belated V-Day and went to see _Music and Lyrics_. It's a typical Hugh Grant vehicle, but I enjoyed it.

Escapism is in full play. Last week, I read the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine. Yesterday, I read _Blood Bound_ by Patricia Briggs. Two weeks ago, I read _Protector of the Flight_ by Robin Owens, and _My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding_, which has various authors, including Jim Butcher. I'm just now starting Jim's Academ series.

Reviews later, as I'm still buried.

Oh - last week, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, which means more pills. I'm already holding onto the borderline between compliant and non- with the pills I have. Now, I have 3 more and a spray to add. Ew. Wish me luck a) taking them and b) keeping them down.

Miss you all!

Yay! Thanks for the update! :D

I'm sorry it's such a hard month for you! *sending lots of good energy your way!*

And good luck with a and b with the pills, and hope the sinus infection is gone quickly!

I don't know if this is a more palatable idea than pills for you or not. I've been having luck with this remedy for my sinus shit. (When I'll do it. Which I haven't been. :P) I myself up a little bottle of equal parts Tea Tree Oil and Lavender Oil. I boil a pan of water. I remove it from the burner and wait for it to stop bubbling, put several drops from the bottle into the hot water, put a towel over my head and breathe the steam for about 5 minutes. Twice a day. The number of drops you want to put in depends on the size of the dropper... my general rule is that if the steam burns more than just a slight tingle, I've put too much stuff in. Tea Tree Oil is supposed to be a good killer-of-bugs (apparently it's good against bacteria, viruses, and fungus, too), and Lavender is good for helping with respiratory ailments. I've heard that it can be helpful to add Eucalyptus to the mix, but you have to use it cautiously. I don't use it because I had scary reactions to it when I tried it twice. The tea tree and lavender works really well for me on my sinus infections and that bronchitis shit I get every year.
I second the drops-of-essential-oil-in-water, and a little sage oil in the mix might be helpful.

Feel better soon.
Ooo! I think sage doesn't agree with Nicole, but I'll sure give it a try! Thanks! :)
I was planning to send President's Day cards. It is now President's Day.

Major suck.

Hang in... you poor thing.
